The Disney Avengers????

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to dream.  By some people I mean the three of us.  After we (SimbaKing94, ShroomCutz, and Pebbles&CAMCAM) all saw The Avengers: Age of Ultron this weekend, we all began to openly mock all of the people who said Disney couldn't be the ones who brought these superheroes together.  We watched as people tried to badmouth Disney, even though they had made yet another good Marvel film.  But it did make the three of us wonder: what if Disney had ruined this film?  What if Disney had completely "childproofed" this series and made films that would make the original Disney movies call "Cheesy!"

Last night, we all seemed to have dreams related to a Disney mockery of Marvel that to be quite honest, perturbed us.  We did not expect to have so similar dreams.  While our overall rosters were fairly different, we still had many familiar characters filling in the roles.  Of course, we couldn't just let an opportunity like this pass so easily.  So, without further ado, let us commence with a small little blurb about who would help form the Disney Cast of The Avengers.  And perhaps what the plot would entail.

Now, I must confess, this was not a complete re-hash of the plot of the 2012 movie.  Also, the Disney roles for these heroes would not necessarily be the same (For example, the person who would fill Tony Stark's position does not don the Iron Man armor and instead utilizes his/her own powers).  We instead filled in characters based on their personalities and the character role they could fill in.  Without further ado, let us begin...

The Disney Avengers!

1. The Leader: Buzz Lightyear

Although he lacks the giant shield that makes Captain America so iconic, Buzz Lightyear's unyielding stance against corruption and injustice makes him a highly logical choice we could all agree on (though Pebbles had another character in this spot).  Buzz is a great strategist and pulls through in almost every operation he leads or undertakes.  He will do anything in his power to protect those he values as friends and loved ones, even if it means sacrificing himself.  He could also technically qualify as Iron Man with his Space Ranger suit, but since he's not that much of a smart ass, we needed to fill that role with someone else.  Buzz could be the rallying point that everyone in the team (as dysfunctional as they can be) and a person to fight for should anything happen.  Everyone loves and respects Buzz Lightyear, and would follow him to the end...

2. The Demi-God: Hercules

Hercules is an easy choice to represent Thor to this team.  As a Demi-God with unrelenting strength, he can tangle with almost any demon that his archenemy Hades can throw at him.  Though he isn't the outsider that Thor was to his own team, Hercules does manage to stand out from a few of his fellow team members, as he is actually the son of Zeus.  Hercules could become an invaluable member to the team should Hades seek to bring about a great darkness on the world, or should the team have need of a man with unyielding physical prowess...

3. The Kick Ass Female: Mulan

This was yet another easy choice to fill the bill that someone along the lines of Black Widow leaves behind for this version.  Already having been donned the hero of China, Mulan is recruited to come to a universe in need of her out of the box thinking and impressive fighting techniques.  Unlike Buzz or Herc, she does not have the powerful suit or the powers of a demi-god,  But with the help of her less than stellar dragon Mushu, the will of her father, and her own above average intellect and skills, this heroine of all time can perhaps fill a much needed role as the team's melee commander and second in command to Buzz.  She is more than capable of filling in for Natasha...

4. The Cursed Monster: The Beast

What he lacks in the Hulk's size, the Beast makes up for with an uncompromising temper and surprisingly strong brute power.  The Beast is a member that is reluctantly brought in and doesn't get along with most of the team (if anyone in the long run).  But when the Beast begins to take part in the team's efforts, he becomes a vital cog in their protection of the world from villains such as Zurg or Maleficent.  Although he can be easily duped into believing a villain has found a way to save him from a spell (as someone good at hypnotizing like Jafar could do), he still tries to fight for the good cause so that one day, he could win the heart of a woman who could free him from this nightmare he lives every single day.

5. The Handsome, Quick Thinking, Smartass: Aladdin

Aladdin and Tony Stark are a lot more similar than we expected when we first began constructing this team.  They both have an abundance of resources to use while battling evil, including a colorful cast of characters.  However, when both have their powers and advantages taken from them, they must utilize quick thinking and resourcefulness in order to overcome dangerous odds, be they surviving in the ends of the earth or outfoxing the most powerful sorcerer in the world.  Aladdin's speed and cleverness allows him to easily take the reins as one of the team's leaders, and with the Genie and his wiles on his side, it would be difficult to trick this team...

6. The Misunderstood Witch: Elsa

While she doesn't have the moral issues Wanda Maximoff had in Age of Ultron, Elsa may have some trust issues when it comes to her new teammates.  After all, she didn't even tell her own sister about her powers, which could have saved all of the crap Arendelle went through in the film.  But no team is complete without a little magic, and whatever spark Genie cannot do can be done by this witch of the winter winds.  Elsa could eventually build a trust up with her friends and eventually find a love in them that she was devoid of for much of her childhood.  After all, anyone with the power to create life from ice has got to be pretty damn powerful...

When we think of some suitable characters to fill the boots of Vision, Hawkeye, and the rest, I'll let y'all know...
